The biggest change to this game, in my opinion, is the reduction of the number of powerball numbers from 1 in 39 to 1 in 35. This significantly
increases your odds of winning.
:-)
One of the strangest items that I have seen in this change is the way the "PowerPlay" is applied. In the past drawings, there was a secondary
drawing to determine what the powerplay number would be. It was between 2 and 5 times the winnings of non-jackpot winning tickets.
Instead of a randomly drawn multiplier, the powerplay is now a "Set Amount" if you play it. Most times the winnings are only doubled.
Matching the Powerball only has increased the prize a whopping $1. Instead of winning $3 you will now win $4.
The below listings will show the differences in a matrix format. For more information or to contact the game directly to to www.powerball.com
