Getting Started

The single most important thing that is needed for this site to function for you is a LOTTERY POOL

My Pools

After you create an account, you will be automatically brought to this page. This is where you will name your lottery pool and select the game for it. It's very simple, but very important. The entire website is reliant on your lottery pool to associate your tickets that are entered and your members that want to be notified. Without the lottery pool, there won't be much for this website to do for you. So, it all starts there. Be sure to check the "Track my winnings" checkbox if you want to view your statistics for your pool in the future. You can always go back to it at a later date, but getting your prior winnings inserted would require you to check your results against that pool for every drawing that you want statistics for. That will be your decision. :)

Once you've created a lottery pool, you can add members. You CAN add members before you create a lottery pool, but it would be pointless until you can add them to a list for notification.

Manage Members

On this page, there are two blue bars that can be clicked on to show the details contained in them. The top bar is for entering the members name, cell phone number, email address and cell phone carrier and the type of notification that they want to receive.

The second blue bar is expanded to show a small listing on the left hand pane, an empty list in the middle and a dropdown list with a button below it. This is probably a very confusing screen to use. Please let me know if you can think of a better way to do this. The list on the left shows you the lists that are available. You create a list by typing it in the box above and clicking on the button to add it. Once it shows up in the list, you can select it. Once you select a list, the middle listing will show all the members that are currently associated with that list. You can delete members using the control in the grid, but to add, you need to use the dropdown list and button in the right pane.

After you have created all of your lists, you will need to associate the list with a lottery pool. Some people need the flexibility to have different lists for different pools. This is how this is accomplished. In the "MyPools" page, select the lottery pool and edit it in the grid. The dropdown column for Member List should be used to assign the proper list to the pool.

These are the areas that need to be completed in order to have a successful lottery pool. It may take a little time to set up initially, but it only needs to be done once. Maintenance should be pretty easy after that. The ticket entry page has been optimized for easy entry. It should not take long to enter a lot of tickets. It took me about 1/2 hour to enter 130 tickets.

I hope this section answers some of your questions on how to get started on this site. Enjoy using it and GOOD LUCK in your lottery quest!!
